The Legend Of Zelda : The Minish Cap

Intro :

     I remembered playing The Legend of Zelda on Nintendo more then 10 years ago! And since then, Nintendo has been producing more and more different version of Zelda games. The recent one I've played with was Minish Cap version, on gameboy. The uber cute drawings of Link, the hat design and character, the overall gameplay simply makes me so keen to cosplay as him!!

Costume info :

     Link's props really takes alot of planning and time to do ~! For the sword, I planned to do one that's more real-like, not a flat sword but one with depth. Fixing the side blades was easy, except the top sword head. But eugin and I managed to achieve what we want through trial and error ~! The shield was another challenging project... I want it to be slightly curved, with good front cover designs. I gained alot of great expriences from this project, learning to manage with vinyl stickers, clay modelling... etc

I played around with modelling clay to roll up the 'seashell' like acessories that's on Link's belt and sword end. Its indeed a very useful tool in making props!

Birdie's head (actually his name is Ezlo) was a last minute challenge! The inital plan I had to build his head turned out bad and I really had the intention to give up making it ( Link's design in another game call : The Wind Waker, has Link in the same costume but no Ezlo) One day before the event, I had the sudden new inspirations... and thus making Ezlo was very successful and I'm extremely pleased with the result ^_^ . He's a very important prop for this cosplay too..haha.. though he has pecked alot of people who stood close to me for phototaking.
