Shinguuji Sakura - Sakura Taisen

Intro :

     Special thanks to Maria for introducing Sakura Taisen to me ^^ ! Its really of great honor and fun to be joining in your team ^_^ ! I like's Sakura's personality in the story and had lots of fun cosplaying as her^^ , But I kept forgotting to wear my gloves during the photo taking >___< !!! Arghhh ...

Costume info :

     The pattern for the inner white yukata and outer pink kimono (I'm not sure of the correct name) are the same, only that I drew longer sleeves for the pink kimono. The red hakama (pants) couldn't have been made possible if not for Maria's kind help ! Thank you very much for helping with pleatings ^^u, sewing it up wasn't as tough as it! The hakama is just like a big pair of pants, except the pleatings would make it look as if its a skirt, and that's where most ppl mistaken that Sakura's wearing a red skirt. Thanks to Maria for this info!

      Sakura's obi was made the same way as Yuna's, and the red sakura petals were from velvet like cloth, it's a great fabric to use for decorating your clothes. It won't fray like other kind of fabrics and its easy to handle.

Updated on 6th Sept : I remade my Sakura's pink kimono ^_^ This time round with a better fabric that comes with a cleaer nicer tone of pink. I always thought that my first Sakura's kimono was not pinkish enough >_< My fringe was cut too short on the day before the event >_< Still, I love my new Sakura cosplay, specially the sakura petals which turns out perfect! Compared to my earlier versions, this was the best of all ^__^

New Sakura phototakings ^^ This time with a more suitable length for her fringe and location ^^ Photo on right taken by Macross and Usagi. I'm very happy with the photos taken and I think I cosplayed her to my best ^_^ She's the character I cosplayed the most tpp ^^. There's alot of photos for my Sakura cosplay and thus I have seperate this page to two. Page 1 shows photos of the newer cos I've made while Page 2 photo takens are from 2002 - 2004.
