Yuna Braska - Final Fantasy X2

Intro :

Yuna's white mage reminds me alittle of Tonberry ^^ ~! He's a popular monster from the Final Fantasy series. I feel that this costume design is pretty unique and it would really help alot in working on my dressmaking skills ^^ . Besides, I've always thought that Yuna's most suitable class would be White Mage!

Costume info :

I planned out the costume as two parts, an inner white strap dress and an outer long sleeves outfit. I noticed that the inner white dress has two different colors : white and ivory ( top and bottom). I drew a V-shape design on the inner white dress, whereby the 2 different cloth colors are joined together. Also, the dress ends with different length, the front being shorter then the back. The outer dress has a deep U-shape collar, long sleeves that fold over to more patterns design. Sewing on the purple cloth on the outer white was pretty fun and tedious, but I really learn a few useful sewing tricks. Yuna's hood was done with trial-and-error paper patterns.

All of the designs on the White Mage was cut out from this Velvet like cloth. Quite cheap from where I buy from, and its really useful for decorations designs. The cloth won't fray and the soft texture really looks well for costumes. The cloth can be easily sticked on using white glue or any good fabric glue. Sometimes I use Felt cloth to cut decorations, but trust me, this Velvet cloth works much better ^_^ The white boots I had came from my Yuna's wedding gown cosplay, and I simply reuse my Sailor Saturn's long white glove again. Yuna's staff is already 2 years old ^o^ and its still looking great ^_^ ~ For this cosplay, I forgot to wear my Yuna's blue hair accessary >.< ! And I wasn't able to sew up the designs on her sleeves on time >.< .. Arggh ... And I forgot to change my necklace to Yuna's >.<...
